What is My Tzedakah Fund?
My Tzedakah Fund is on a mission to empower the next generation of Jewish donors to be actively involved in charitable giving. Millenials are passionate and engaged - a generation of movers and shakers that are committed to improving the world. My Tzedakah Fund was established to empower this new generation to become committed members of the Jewish non-profit space.
Why should I use My Tzedakah Fund?
Most Jewish charities and fundraisers today use old-school, traditional approaches to attract donors - whether through expensive and fancy dinners or mail and phone campaigns; they are ignoring Millennials. My Tzedakah Fund was created to fix that problem - we meet the new generation of donors where they are, and make tzedakah giving easy, accessible, empowering and social. Unlike other non-profit platforms, charities can utilize My Tzedakah Fund for free and all money raised through us is transferred directly to the charity. In exchange, the charities provide complete information on how the money will be used. Utilizing an advanced digital platform makes donating secure, transparent and easy.
The most powerful component of My Tzedakah Fund’s interface is the ability for you, the donor, to decide what YOUR charitable values are. Instead of donating to whichever charity has the biggest marketing budget or to the charity that your friend is running a marathon for, you are empowered to build your own charitable fund based on what is most important to you. Are you passionate about women’s rights? Are you passionate about Israel’s security and growth? With My Tzedakah Fund, you make the decisions that represent who you are, and inspire and influence others in the process.
How do I use My Tzedakah Fund?
To create your own My Tzedakah Fund, donors are prompted to choose from different charitable categories that interest them, and select them according to their level of interest 1-6: children’s organizations, women’s organizations, Jewish Education, Israel Defense, Health and Welfare, Special Needs and Israel Advocacy.
The donor is then prompted to name their fund and connect to facebook so they can see where their friends are donating. My Tzedakah Fund then provides a number of charities that fit into each category the donor chose. You are invited to learn about each charity and add the ones that interest you to your fund. Once you have added all the charities you are interested in to your fund, your charitable portfolio is complete.
You can then decide how much money you want to donate each month to the charities in your fund. You can decide between an amount you decide, or we can help you figure out your monthly maaser. Once you decide on an amount you’d like to donate, you have the ability to change and edit if you’d like a specific amount for each charity.
After your donation is processed, your My Tzedakah Fund is complete and you will be taken to your portfolio where all of your information is hosted.

Why should I put my charity on My Tzedakah Fund?
My Tzedakah Fund is unique in its ability to give you exposure without you having to do your own marketing and budgeting. Our goal is to help the next generation of Jewish people to get into the habit of donating to charities that are meaningful to them, and making it a part of their lives. Additionally, once a donor chooses to donate to your charity through our platform, they are a donor for life - the recurring payment will continue as long as we continue.
While charities can still rely on their roster of donors, eventually they will need to learn how to attract the millennial generation, who are unfamiliar and unwilling to write large checks and attend fancy dinners. Our platform is build FOR that donor and your charity can directly benefit.
Will my charity have a relationship with the donors?
Yes - My Tzedakah Fund requires that each charity reaches out to the donors to thank them and form a relationship with them.
